Ls6
Got myself an LS6 out of a CTS-V that dropped a valve, didn't even touch the sleeve! Destroyed the one head and #8 piston though obviously. The valve hit sideways dead center in the piston! I have LQ9 heads and an LS6 intake for it. Still need all the accessories to go along with it, knock sensors, etc. Gonna tear the whole thing down and measure the crank and cylinders and throw some new pistons and bearings in it. I'm trying to decide on a camshaft, I'm leaning towards the 222/224 .556 .568 112LSA from Comp. I want a nice lopey idle along with the extra power to go along with it. I have the 5 speed manual right now, and don't plan on driving the snot out of it constantly, but still with that kind of power I don't expect the NVG 3500 to last a long time (especially having nearly 250,000km from the lil 4.3
), a T56 will replace it. (NO way I'm going auto).
Anyways this will be a gradual build as funds come and parts come, no big rush. I want to have all the parts necessary before I do the swap. Any advice would be appreciated!
I'll have the engine here by the end of next week, I'll post up some pics when it arrives.
