Thread: Carb motor in a 99 silverado?

    Your project would no longer be street legal. If it were me I'd find a competent technician to find and solve current electrical problems. That would be much cheaper in the long run.
    99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.

    Agreed, but if this is just a show truck why not make it real simple with say a Painless 16 circuit harness and start from scratch

    I had heard that someone makes a controller for the 4L60E that will allow you to hook it up to a Gen1 motor. All you would need is a flexplate at that point.. I'll try to find where I read that.

    GM Controller #12497316 Requires installation of throttle position sensor on carburetor.
