yessir. And a 700r4 should be same size as 4l60e, you'll just have to run vac line to the module.

Turbo 350 isnt the same size? they seem to be easier to find but it really dont matter to me what tranny is in it. Also what do you mean vac line to module?
Also will whatever line connects to my transmisson to shift it from park work on the older style tranny?
What will swap off my motor accessories wise? Alt starter power steering a/c?
How will the alt wire back up with no engine harness?
And i know how the supply fuel line connects but what about the return line? and idk much about engine so the older engine has a egr valve what will that hook up to?

How bout this?!?!?!?
Get a LSX motor from a yard. Prob anywhere from 500-1K.
MSD sells a kit that gives you a MSD box and intake to run a carb on a LSX engine! Retains the crank sensor pulse so you can use all 8 coils. But you get to run a carb that sits on a edlebrock non-Fuel Injection Intake.
And you don't have to mess with motor mounts, headers, etc...
Then let the computer control the tranny. Or th350 or th400

If you're swapping motors, you'll never pass emissions, so ditch the EGR
older trannies shift off vacuum, so you'll have to run a line. Also need to run a kickdown cable to the carb. Not sure if a th350 will fit your crossmember correctly, ask someone that has a th400 on here (there are a couple, i just can't remember who). If not a 700r4 has overdrive, which is nice.
Alternators need a big cable going to a battery/starter, and a small wire running to a gauge to charge. i'm sure SOMEONE knows what color wire it is from factory, if not an aftermarket gauge SHOULD work. If you run your current accessories you'll just have to cut the plug to the alt, and run to your new gauges. But as stated above, it's A LOT more wiring then you think. You'll need to know what to cut/what not to cut, will have to remove airbag system, ABS might not work after, could influence turn signals/brakes/etc if you cut wrong wires.

i was told they make adapter plates for the 4l60e and 80e. im going to try and drop a 80e that i have into my 67 camaro and im running a 327 from 67. a buddy of my said he did it to his 57 chevy and knows multiple people that have done it
Your project would no longer be street legal. If it were me I'd find a competent technician to find and solve current electrical problems. That would be much cheaper in the long run.

I had heard that someone makes a controller for the 4L60E that will allow you to hook it up to a Gen1 motor. All you would need is a flexplate at that point.. I'll try to find where I read that.
