I have a 2001 and a 98, 98 was bolt on output and 2001 is slip style. Both have the bolt hole and are the same exact length. You can bolt the older style yoke to the newer style with the tapped hole but you may have to pack some silicone on the end of the output shaft when you bolt it together to make it seal since you won't have a seal on the output shaft like the early model.
