So I'm still having problems when I hook up my O2 sensors - the truck smokes and runs rich . I was finally able to get someone to hook me up to a good scanner (new Snap on scanner) . It said both forward O 2 sensors were sending high signals which would imply too much fuel . It never set a code for the MAF but when we looked at the values for all of the sensors the MAF said zero . Would this cause the engine to act as it has been ? Looking for suggestions or advice . I don't want to buy a new one if there's something else I could do . Thanks

Hmmmmm....maybe you have a short in one of the wires going to the sensors?

check all your return grounds. I had dropped one on my TPI conversion a year ago on the temperature. It thought it was minus 300 give or take anyway that caused it to dump lots of fuel thinking it was still warming up. That fixed mine.

Thanks for the input , guys . I think I have all of my grounds hooked up . Don't know how I'd check for a short in one of the MAF wires , though . Could I use a voltmeter and then look for a specific value ? Would I just be looking for 12 volts going to the MAF ? Thanks

Reference voltage for most sensors should be 5 volts.

I use to run a dry n2o shot and I use to run the MAF backwards to really richen it up. Those were the old days, before a MAFT and Tuning software. So check to see if the MAF is in correct and your buddy with the scanner should be able to see MAF frequency.
