    Unhappy Reduced Engine Power!!

    WELL HAD THE 03'YUKON 5.3 STIING ALL WEEK,,WELL A WHILE AGO I WENT TO START IT AND IT BARELY TURNED ON LIKE IF THE BATTERY WAS DEAD.WHEN IT DID TURN ON,IT SOUNDED LIKE THE STARTER WAS STUCK,NOW I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS THE STARTER CAUSE I SHUT IT OFF QUICK.I TURNED IT ON AGAIN,ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND IT SAID REDUCED ENGINE POWER ON CLUSTER.IT WAS IDLING KIND OF HIGH TOO.SO TURNED IT OFF ONCE AGAIN,TURNED IT BACK ON SES LITE WENT AWAY,AND SO DID THE REDUCED CRAP. HELP ITS GOT 120K MILES ,IT FULLY MAINTAINED,CHANGED KNOCK SENSORS LIKE 3 WEEKS AGO,RUN STRONG STILL.

    BTW(sorry for all caps lol)

    I've had a run down batt before and never got all that mess. I hope that's all that's wrong...

    Yes, that's why it's the first thing I recommend any time someone mentions REP without codes.

    You don't have a TAC module like a GMT800 body does. The throttle controls are in the ECM on yours. The TACM is a non-Class2 module that has a dedicated communication circuit with the PCM that is not on the scanner besides reading slave info through the PCM. When a weak battery causes one or the other of the PCM/TACM to wake up before the other you get codes because they expect to both be online or offline.

    i know like it was only parked for a week and it goes dead,i guess im gonna get a new battery,,cause thats not right-thanks again guys,back to ufc lol
