How many of you are going to keep these trucks, cars, engines, in your possession over 100k? or 200k?
You'd be suprised... I have stuff that I buy to keep usually. Or at least try. One vehicle I'm trying to see how many miles I can get on is a 1996 LS400, it is almost at 200K now.

My puny little Astro has 178K on it and running strong. One quart of oil consumed every 4K miles, time for oil change anyway. It's had Castrol GTX for the three years I've owned it.

Thanks to all you guys that chimed in on the original AMSOIL/Oil and bypass filter stuff.

Yeah, I'd like to keep my Silverado for +200K, but that doesn't mean it will have it's original 4.8L LS1 over the long haul (but that's another story huh)

On the other hand I could see our current Forrester getting traded for a turbo version sooner than later. That has more to do with trade in value. Besides, for the XT there's alot more aftermarket stuff I can spend my hard earned jack on Cobb Tuning

I have an 89 Silverado that has 242,000 and a 96 Tahoe that has 196,000. I am going to keep both of them until they die. If you keep the oil clean and pay attention, you can really drive the hell out of them. Go Chevy!
