I changed mine last night. I figured it was time since I was nearing the 4000 mark and I am going to be driving the living hell out of it tonight. After 3000 my truck starts burning it up. That stuff was awfully black when it came out, no metal shavings though
2005 black Yukon XL SLT - traded in for me wife's new Fusion (GM sucks these days)
2002 black Yukon SLT (the skinny sister)
1969 green Pontiac GTO (Layla, AKA the black sheep)

Sticky/broken gauges? I can help. PM me for details.

Mobil 1 5W-30. But I am interested in this new Castrol Edge. Has 8X better wear protection, based on 5W-30. Check it out.

Results of the Seq IVA wear test. Edge does meet GM 4718M.

Also, I know Royal Purple is good stuff, along with Amsoil.

We use the Royal purple Hydraulic in the ROV. I have seen it first hand, the oil will actually hold on to metals under water. Something that never happen with the Shell oil that most everyone else use's in the ROV field. Also it brought our operating temp down 10-15* Thats why i switched RP from Mobil one. I figure if its good enough for the 6 million dollar ROV its good enough for my slab.
