I dont make a dime more then the chump that is on his "last chance" warning for missing days, spends 4 hours of a 12 hour shift on smoke break and right when hard is started he disappears. When unions began it was to help the hard worker... Now it is to protect the lazy.
If the unions would give the boot to the ones they know are giving them the bad rep (and they know exactly the ones) Making way for good employees that are in need of a job the world may change a bit. If the unions werent backing the lazy people so much you know the companies could clean house.
Good point. Take it from Ian guys--he IS a Union Worker and look what he has to say about it. I am sure that the lazy Union Worker would have the EXACT opposite stance.

that was really hard to read. Him buying a tundra just goes to show he has no loyality to our nation. Ive never seen a well built foreign pos. They do however cover up their shawty work with different type of plastic interiors. Their frames and etc are just pure garbage. American IRON and STEEL is much stronger.

fact is bleeding hearts killed our strenght the day they shut the mills down.

My family is full of farmers and my parents wish they had unions back when they were hand picking cotton in the 100+ heat... the real reason my grandparents had kids anyway, I ask them lol. Cotton got to the gin by his tractor or truck, the gin wasn't union operated, maybe the train service was but not at an inflated price like it is today.

Some are missing the point... Unions are not needed anymore with all the other govt services that are out there to protect ones jobs (workers comp, long term disability). Buildings in Texas are not union built, unions don't survive down here and it has been that way for years and we prosper for it. And it's not just minorities that take advantage of the system (Garrison you know who you are LOL FMWY). HEB grocery chain truckers aren't Union workers either... I'll get off my soap box now, it's pointless to argue with the uninformed Northerners that have been brain washed their whole lives.

Edit: I talk great things about Texas and I'm only kidding... it's 3rd world country down here, so please don't move here.

its getting so bad we need to shut the boarders and become our own country

on the union argument look at my family as well, my father and grandfather (on his side) have worked in the oil filed there whole lives just as i have, there are NO unions in the oil field but we have been just fine, then look at my mom's side the family owns a flooring mill in a little Arkansas town, there is no union, yes the mill has seens its rough times but the workers are doing just fine. In fact the union would have been the down fall of either of these industry's, if they had to still pay the employees after they had been let go they would not have stayed afloat, yes its sad that people would be without work and pay but there is unemployment

I see no point on paying some union schmuck 6 figures. I buy a car to pay for the product and to allow the company to make more. Approx $1500 for every vehicle sold goes to worker health care(just an average). That doesnt help either. Foreign companies dont worry about this and can therefore build cars of equal quality at a significantly lower price. But no sense in arguing whose fault it is or who did what. The government will do what it wants and the big corporations will do what they want. Its frustrating.

I'm not saying all union people are lazy I'm saying the union idea is made out of laziness. Yes, there are many trades I depend on unions for and they all overpriced by 2345% of what they would cost if the market was free.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy is what they filed for, Chapter 11 makes it legal for GM to make all contracts null and void. Guess what happens to the union?
