    needed tools?

does anyone knows of a link or a place where it shows all the tools I need to do a cam-heads swap?? cause I'm putting my hobbie room together and I want to have all those tools to be able to help my buddies do their cam swaps.. I rather spend the money buying tools than paying a guy to do that job..
thanks guys.. any help would be appreciated!

    Well, you will need:
    --The common 1/4" rachet/socket set. Mostly 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 21mm (for cross member), and a 24mm (for crank bolt).
--LS1 cam install tool or 5/16 wooden dowel rods or 16 pen magnets
    --Torque Wrench
    --BFH
--Crane dual valve spring compression tool
--Spark plug adapter fitting for air hose (compression check hose for changing springs)

Unless you have high mileage on your motor and need to replace some gaskets, all gaskets are reusable.

A good balancer puller is very important, no cheap stuff. A length of chain to anch the crank to keep it from turning or a balancer holder tool is needed. A good 1/2" breaker bar and 4' of pipe for leverage. A sharpie to mark the location of the head of the crank bolt when you reach the torque value prior to the angular torque sequence.

I would use a reputable brand for the hand tools (Matco, Blue Point, Craftsman, and maybe even Husky). I use Craftsman tools, along with a Craftsman torque wrench, and a Craftsman 3-jaw pulley puller. Crane has the nice 2 spring compressor tool (Zach has one for sale in the classifieds), and I have used the Craftsman compression test hose for the spark plug adapter for changing out the springs.
