    New Tranny is in!

Friday evening I went over to Danny's house to start the tear down process for putting my new LVL 5 60e in... Started well, no real problems (except for the unusually large reddish stain on the concrete ) and got it all done Saturday for the Dyno Meet. Here are a few pics of the madness:

Driveline is out. Its dirty under there cause last time I put a tranny in before the Lightning Meet, the cooler line decided to pop off and unload 10 quarts of tranny fluid on the road and underneath my truck. Don't worry--when I tear it down for the LQ4 swap, its ALL going to be squeaky clean.

Notice the reddish stain at the bottom left???

The Prindle switch hanging out and waiting to be bolted up to his new home...

Earl filter, flexplate, and those dang 'ol cooler lines which have a knack for wanting to pop off and spit out fluid...

EFFIN bugs were all over the place! Travis--this one is for you.

Recently refreshed and restalled 3000 converter being drained...got dang near 3 quarts out...

Prolly the last time you clowns will see the 5.3L...

And there she is... LVL 5 60e!!!!!!!

And what is Danny doing with those nitrous parts????

The 5.3L in the S-10. Why didn't GM do this in the first place??? It fits perfectly...

    The S-10...

And Danny's TBSS gave me a little Peep Show:

But yeah, the tranny went in, shifts well, and bangs 2nd pretty good. This one WILL last!

The Dyno Day went well! Thanks to all who helped out and for Alan (TxStVanWilder) for bringing a cooler full of drinks for everyone and for posting this meet all over the boards. There were some bad arse trucks there--SRT-10s, Lightnings, Titans, Chebbys, etc. AWESOME turnout. James was havin a great time--especially making Alan drink as much as he could so he could find out how drunk he got. Alan blew a .129 BAC. He was feelin pretty good... :beer1: Unfortunately, since it was like 5,000 degrees outside and there were 8746 trucks on the rollers, the dyno got too hot and we had to shut it down earlier than expected. No worries, Ross took the dyno apart and put the fans on it to cool it--and after about 10 minutes, the brakes released and it was all good. Thanks to all who came out to help with the Fundraiser and put down some good numbers!

Good deal Tyler - I hope this one holds.

And how did Ross take the dyno apart while he was in Hawaii?

How long did it take to get your FLT from the time you ordered it? Ordered mine back in mid March but dont have it yet. I know they are back logged but man, coming up on three months now.
