+2 on the pump
so i thought i would take it for another spin just to see if i can get a check engine light again or anything, i would really rather have this thing fail on me now when i'm expecting it than when my wife is driving it. it started fine, drove 2 blocks, started to sputter then died on the way back a block away from my house. i'm now soaked head toe from pushing in the rain, i cant believe i got it back.
anybody have any tips on what pump to buy? jobber should have delco in stock, or the local speedshop usually sells walbro kits for most cars, if its direct drop in and wont be buggy it will likely be cheaper so i'll go with that. i read on here the walbro may not maintain pressure when shut down so it has a longer crank and start time??? any truth to this?
and lastly any tips on replacement in the yukon denali? like a 1 hr job in my alley? 2 hrs?
thanks!
Go with the Delco pump, and you'll have to drop the tank to replace it. Hopefully your tank is less than 1/4 tank, that would help. It's not a lot of fun, but you can tackle it.
