Buy a Haynes manual or get a subscription to Mitchell On Demand via internet. All the V-8 MAFs are the same per year so the V-6 might work too. I'd have to look it up Monday if no one knows. You have an 8.6" 10-bolt. Post the G codes off the SPID label in the glove box and someone can tell you what ratio you have. With a 6 and 5-speed I'll guess 3.73's. Most auto 4.3s had 3.73's and 4.10's back then. An 06 truck engine does not need the wheel swapped...it's the GTO LS2 that does. I'm not sure how an LT4 GEN II clutch will work on a GEN III engine.

    thanks

Well I was told I can still use my dbw intake and convert to dbc, my friend did an Ls2 swap in the exact same truck as mine, has it converted to cable. I'd like to keep my intake I think I read the 04 and up flow better than the older ones. Yeah I'll have to look into the clutch setup, I was told it would work, hope they weren't wrong. What about the fuel rail, I don't see a return line, how is this set up? Now that you mention you think it has 3.73, I believe I read that, just thought that sounded wrong at the time. Thanks for the help

Your's will have the correct ring in it already. 2007+ has the wrong reluctor for earlier setups.

    thanks

I've got some more questions. Are the engine sensors the same for an 06 as a 2002, or am I going to have to cut and splice? If I go with the higher output alternator, I believe its 140A, what kind of draw can I realistically have before taking away from the ignition too much, I was wanting to do E fans and possibly water pump but the fans would draw around 60A I believe?

any of the gen3 flywheels would work except the 99-2000 6L models that are flat.
