Ahhh... 95 GT. Last year of the 302. Quick little car FWIW. Helped mod a friend's 95 GT in high school. Heads, cam, intake, gears, exhaust--turned out to be a quick little car.

Yuppers--I am with ya. I am still a sucker for the Fox body LX coupes. That is one of the only Mustangs I would ever drive...IF I had to drive a 'Stang...

They're relatively light and are RWD with a V-8. They're cheap too and have lots of aftermarket support. Gotta remember what is was like newer car wise in the late 80's and early 90's. There weren't many choices.

Personally I think the GT hatchbacks are ugly burger boxes too.
I love LX coupes and convertibles though. Sporty little cars if you ask me.

and what the other guys said, you can get em down to 3,000 lbs with out trying
are super easy to work on, parts are relatively cheap and mod market is massive.

I picked up a '93 non-running 4cyl coupe for a trade of Trickflow intake manifold

My closest race was with a '94 5.0. Not sure what mods it had but it atleast had a full exhaust from headers back. He would only beat me by a fender and if he messed up just a tiny bit on the shifting I would just drive around him!
