    Red face tranny for 6l?

    what sort of tranny mods should i have for a cammed and tuned 6l with the 4l60e trans, with about a 2600-2800 stall?

    haha knew that one was coming. i still might go that way. but i just want to know how strong of 60e id need to hold up?

    I have read alot on the 60/65e and a fully built one(built right) is still only good to about 500rwhp

    Just get a finish line performance transmission and call it a day

    your only cammed and tuned...the stocker will probably hold up for a while IMO...I would get you an after market tranny cooler and call it a day. if you want to add something I would ad a shift kit, corvett servos, aluminum accumlutaor pistons

    4l60 or built 65 didnt hold behind my 5.3. Dont think it would last but a couple months with a 6l.
    2003 RCSS Chevy 5.3L Fully Bolted, Cammed, Yanked, and 342s. Borla Exhaust w/ Electric Cutouts.

    the 60e's are time bombs. 4l80e, th400, PG is what you should get IMO.

    Mine lasted over a year blown and cammed..the TC shelled and took out my tranny.
