I agree with the other guys and would like to add something. You said he is concerned with $$$$ and says the LSx's are too expensive but, then he's looking at 305& 350 crate motors?? Around here I can pick up a complete drivetrain with everything for less than I can buy a crate 350. I'd give the same advice as LS1nica..... 4.8L ( for mileage ), and a T56, oh and a nelson tune
