Hello, my first post here. My wife & I own a '00 ext. cab 1/2 ton Silverado: two tone, red w/ charcoal on the bottom, 4.8L V8. This is my first Chevy truck. I was once a Ford guy & I like the new Dodges (owned one of the previous body styles), but to make a long story short, my wife & I sort of "inherited" this truck. I originally was not thrilled about this. I'll tell you what though, this thing is slowly converting me to a GM truck guy. Knowing the abuse (nearly 128,000 miles & towing things a 1/2 ton should not be towing) this truck went through before we got it & the fact that it still runs/drives great w/ very good gas mileage, no leaks, & even still has the original tranny has really impressed me. So, I'll be nosin' around here trying to find ways to personalize & fix-up this truck (it still shows some of the abuse it has been through though.) Later....

to the site. If you knew what mine has been through you'd really be impressed w/ GM. Also mine has alot of miles on it (see sig at bottom) and still manages to impress a few people. So don't worry about it and drive on !!!
