The forward sprag does not have an effect on reverse and there are no other sprags in a 60/65/70. If it has 4th it's not the 3/4 clutches as they are applied in 3rd and 4th (one element releases and the 2-4 band then again holds to shift it from 3rd to 4th). Sounds like valve body mods gone awry to me. A builder that would weld up a bleed hole in your application (MILD) is suspect to me.

that hole isnt a bleed hole its where the pin for the servo goes on the other side it has to be blocked or it will dump line pressure you should have got the correct one from fairbanks instead of welding because what if the weld doesnt hold?did you reinstall with the check ball that goe in the servo body?

I have no idea what all he did. but i suspect since he has never messed with the pinless accumulators that he maybe installed one wrong. its either that or the billet servo.

Could improperly installing the accumulators or the billet servo cause it to shift funny? I shifts fine if I baby it. but anything more than that it trys to slip from 2nd to 3rd. Reverse has worked all day long.
