    transfer case question?

hey. I was wondering if someone knows if my old 94 transfer case will bolt up to my new 4l60e (2000+)?

as long as they have the same output shaft it shouldn't be an issue bolting up to it.

As long as you have the right adapter it should bolt up. I believe in 96 or 97 they went to a six bolt flange on the 4l60e.

Yeah the rear output they changed it to a 6 bolt pattern. Atleast thats what is stuck in my head from doing the research before I started my swap.

yeah the housing the cross member supports is attached to the tranny with 4 bolts, but is then attached to the transfer case with 6. My new 4l60e has this housing but goes from 6 to 6. So it looks as though i could attach it just before the transfer case? I was also wondering if there is a way to determine the output shaft without taking the transfer case off?

If the new trans has the adapter plate already on it will be a simple bolt it on to your tranfer case. The output splines are excatly the same as your old trans. The only other difference is the newer trans i beleive is a lil bit longer.
