you need to go hydraboost due to lack of vacuum.

That's wierd because mine did the exact opposite after my cam. I got a vacuum gauge and it went from 22-24 at stock to about 12-15 now (at idle). I hardly have brakes because of it. I'll try searching and see what I can find out.

The vacuum is what makes your pedal feel softer, it assist's in pushing the master cylinder in when you press the pedal. If there isn't enough vacuum to assist then the pedal feels hard and is alot harder to press due to the booster not helping out...it's like having manual brakes.

IMO hydroboost is way better than a booster. Especially if you have upgraded heavier wheels and tires than stock. And hydroboost is cheap and easy to install.

Yep..all you need is the unit, two lines, and a tee to tie in the return...super easy...

use everything from a 3/4 ton but get thebooster from an escalade it will have the studs in the right place. the hds have one in a an odd place so extra work. im in the process of acquiring parts to convert mine because i have no vacuum in my truck at low idle
