    thank you guys im gonna stay n/a so i dont know i kinda would like a bigger cam. you can really get about 100 horse power fron an intake swap thats crazy. how much do those intakes typically run?

    you've misread the statements. The 100 hp was a 5.3 buildup with cam, headers, tune, ...

    You CANT get 100 hp from the intake swap.

    ok yeah that sounds more reasonable. i've seen other people on here putting that intake on 5.3's but will it work on my crappy 4.8. are they that similar. i should know this stuff but ive never done any motor work this indepth before. ive always done cai hypertech's exhaust and suspension. but as you all know smog laws suck ass in california. so this will be my first attempt at installing this stuff and trying to get some real power out of my **** box.

    save your money and go turbo. More power at the turn of a knob then all those parts combined will give you. Ask me how I know

    ha ha i know i've seen your truck on here before. i'll get refereed if i turbo it and get busted by the fuzz. i might just leave it as it sits and try to find a cheap nbs scsb and do the 6.0 swap with gnarly heads and a big cam and blah blah blah.
