I just got thru installing a comp cam and found they grind their cams on a .050" smaller base circle. To keep the original rocker arm geometry you will need longer push rods, .025 longer I believe.

do you happen to have a part number for the pushrods? i got a cooling problem with mine but i took it down the road and it still feels the same as it did so i guess it could be because of the stock pushrods.

any company that sells the cams can hook you up with correct pushrods. You can order them directly from CompCams. I would deal with a company familiar with the LSx type engines only such as Katech, Lingenfelter, Comp, or any local camaro/corvette performance shops. www.21stcenturymusclecars.com often has take off sets you can buy cheap. I bought 1 rod from them for $5. They are local to me and have tons of parts very reasonable and John Gage is a standup guy.

could the pushrods thats in it be contributing to my cooling problems? thought there was an air pocket but i got all the air out and it still overheats. it can be running 220 but if you rev it up the temp drops down to where its suppose to be. i got electric fans on it

Sounds like an air pocket to me. Those are a bitch to get out of an LSx type motor sometimes. You might loosen the front crossover tube hose and fill the radiator then reinstall the hose once you get coolant coming out if it. Sit the truck on a steep incline, nose uphill, remove the hose at the coolant crossover and see if you get air before the coolant runs out the engine side.
