    There seems to be a rash of 08+ 60 series transmissions that fail in no time at all with performance mods. I wonder if thats due to the synthetic?

    yes the stock detron is synthetic and the thing with roil purp is that you can run it drain it out and run it dry for a wile before it even gets hot .... dont try this i did it but its beta to be safe than sorry... but the bad thing is its so expensive and if thear is a way for it to leak it will find it its so dang thin

    just an fyi i use john deer hy-gaurd hydrolic fluid bout 2gal on a fresh trans and 1 gal on a filter and fluid change

    GM will want you to use Dextron VI and it's not cheap either but is umm umm gooood.
