    try system restore?

    Can you boot into safe mode?

    Maybe you can buy another hdd, load the OS on that, and see if you can read the other hdd that crashed.

    That bites big time .
    Unless it says 'disc failure' at boot you can recover info , and then even sometimes you can .

    Stellar Phoenix. Google it. $100.00 software that brought my hard drive back when nothing else could read anything off of it. You would have to load Stellar Phoenix on a working computer, then plug up your dead hard drive as a slave and then scan/recover it. Go to the website, I think you can scan a HD and if you see your info, buy it and recover. Or if you don't want to buy it, PM me.... I help you out.

    How many gigs of data did you have?

    thanks guys....im havin a friend look at it right now...he knows a little more than i do, but its about 80 gigs of stuff...
