    Electic Water Pump

    I always see people with ls1's, ls2's etc. who have electric water pumps like the meziere ones and i was wonder if they would fit on a 5.3 or 6.0?

    If not is it worth it to get the kind from summit that just has a bracket for a motor to spin the existing water pump with a belt?

    I am sure they do fit, as they are an ls based motor. I also think a friend is running one on his 6.0.

    for the cost of a EWP vs HP you get its not worth it to some. you gain in neighborhood of 8-12 rwhp but also spend little over 600 bucks. the benefit comes from the additional cooling at idle yu get and crusing.

    the cheaper ones that they sell on summit are only 100bucks but I'm unsure on the reliability of them performance should be the same as the 600$ ones.

    Not sure i want to go cheap on something that has the ability of making me buy a new motor..... OVER HEATING isnt good.

    i just checked and there isnt a 100 dollar EWP for the LS world
