Yeah my waterpump was leaking so I replaced it last thursday, then today I notice that the head gaskets are leaking on both sides of the moter My neighbor mentioned that he had heard that 350s and 4.3s has head warping problems that also caused the leaking. Any infor will help. Does anyone have an idea of what the cost is to replace, its a 4.3?

hmmmmm....first I heard of that. I had a 87, 92 and 97 4.3L V6s none of which ever had head gasket problems. Sounds like the rantings of a Chevy hater.

My brother had a 98 4.3 the head gasket was leaking. I talked to a few other people about it and they said it was pretty common on the 4.3 for the heads to warp and leak. As for the engine well, we had to replace it because the coolant mixed in with the oil and threw out all the bearings. It was around 2100.00 to install the 4.3 ourselves. We picked a rebuilt one up here in detroit area from a local engine shop and installed ourselves.

I replaced the head gaskets on my old 5.3 before it locked up for $250.

Mine were also leaking internally, so it took me about a month to find out. Might wanna make sure no water is going in the oil.

My friend's 4.3 in his S-10 just did that same same thing about a month ago. Waterpump --> Tremostat ---> busted head seal on passenger side near front of intake plate.
