    crank relearn

    what all is involved in doing a crank relearn? i tried to search it but didnt come up with anything.

    i think its just in the dvt controls in efilive... just click the reset button, i don't know about other tuners/tech 2s. if you don't have any tuning stuff take it to a dealer i think they will do it with a tech 2 for free.

    is that to do the crank relearn? i thought you had to do something that required some sort of computer stuff for the crank relearn?

    my dad really wants me to get it fixed. so i was gona get nelson to send me a new pcm and melissa told me i would have to do the relearn.

    Takes about 26 seconds with a TechII if the engine is warm and your lighter fuse isn't blown. Did it for free for a Denali forum member a couple months ago. I'll do the CKP relearn for free for anyone else here too if I eventually get a free tune for my Blazer from Allen for it....LOL

    I bet they'd pull your pants down if they didn't know you. Most shops have a minimum diagnostic fee (yes, I know....don't start) of 1.0 labor hour. Retail hourly rates vary from the mid $50's to $140+. Sorry I couldn't guess better.
