I agree. Thanks for the question....LOL

The only time I see it needed is a mail order that still uses misfire diagnosis (not SD tunes I'm assuming).

crank relearn is needed for my denali the engine wants to die when idling like at 300 rpms that is to low for original. THe dealer ship here in NM is charging me $158 and they cant tell me if that is going to fix the problem. when i told them needed the crank relearn they didnt even know what i was talking about. so never going there again not even for an oil change. so if i get a mail in tune from nelson will it still give me that error code check with my perdator or will it remove that crank relearn code.

Go to HPTUNERS.COM and see if you can find someone in your area that is willing to do the relearn for you for a 20 or 6 pack. Hell, I would do it for free if you were here. N.Texas is HPTuners poor. There are quite a few guys with HPT in El Paso.

CKP relearn or CASE is not a fix, it's part of a repair. Not sure what problem you have so I don't know what you need. I did a CASE for a denalitrucks.com member FOR FREE because it's easy and the dealers were giving him crap. It takes 27 seconds to do with a TechII and a warm engine. Never heard of a dealer tune/driveability tech NOT knowing what that is. I think some of you guys are talking to service managers and/or service advisors. Big NO NO Unless you get a highly modified tune that deletes misfire diagnosis I would not expect to NOT have to do a CASE learn.
