recording someone without their permission is illegal and can get you in more trouble then you know.

once someone finds out you make more then them, they do whatever they can to make your life hell.

older guys think cause they been there longer and have done this and that. think they are superior in everything and should get all the easier jobs, higher paid, better chairs to sit on and etc. they think a younger smarter, faster, etc person isnt worth their time. Old guys are usually grandfather'd thru the system and have less IQ then a younger guy that comes up thru the schools. They clearly say youre all book but have no idea in real life. sorry bud that isnt true either. triple threat is the way to be and the old guys are single threats but they still want paid more and do less. Society is ****ed up. i see it as hungriest dog should EAT. NOT the laziest dog that finds the way out of things

I agree with that completely. Seriously sounds more like he is jealous of himself being a loser and you being a winner. Come on what kind of life is that for a 40 yr old. He has NO stability in his life. You have a wife, drive a vette and smarter then him.... I would say this dude burnt the wiskers off the cat and pointed the finger at you tryin to drag you down to his level.

We all know base salary because its public info. I guess he was told My raise % from an officer. Who also might be pissed. To make it clear. the rest of the department got a 2-4% raise. I got an 8% raise. My evaluation was almost perfect. And it was done by the same officer who wrote me up yesterday.
I admit, I need to learn a lot in my career. And that I make mistakes. But I know what I did, and what is right. And I know that this guy is definitely out to get me either fired, or whatever.

really sound like u need to have a heart to heart with your chief, the on that likes or trusts u, then nothin left to worry about, if he already knows ur doin good job, and if he know the situation ur dealin with these jokers, then theres not much to worry about. might even try silent treatment with them for a while, dont pay em any attention or talk to them, just stay hard at it and ignore em.

Request a meeting with the Chief and this guy and then call him out on it in front of the chief. My local Department would highly frown upon any of the firefighters hanging out in a the but hut. They are expected to set a higher standard. Check your local laws on the recording issue. It may be legal and not admissible in a court every state is different. Its legal in Alabama as long as one person being recorded knows. Like say for instance the guy that hits record on the recorder.
