hmmm, you are the first one ive heard of with excessive drone with it....do you have it dumped?
if you have any drone it would most likely have something to do with the funnel effect of having 3" of gas going into the muffler and only 2.5" of pipe to exit. The gases would have to compress inside the muffler to fit out the 2.5" tailpipe. That is probably what is causing the drone if you have the tailpipe installed.
