Well on my way home tonight and was bored so I wanted to see if I could roll it into O.D. at WOT. Well hadn't tried it since I put the DynoMax on it so what the hell I nailed it after coming over the river bridge and back up the hill. Didn't even take a mile and she rolls into O.D. at about 5500-5600 r's . I also noticed it wasn't gaining any when it went to O.D. and then it started to fall off from 3800 r's to about 3600 r's or so. Then I remembered that Allen said he set the limiter at 135 and he also said that he never had anyone hit the limiter before. Well he has now !!! I just wanted to say that w/ the Gibson I was never able to roll it into O.D. even after about 2-3 miles. So this DynoMax must really let it breathe as it didn't take long and the RPM's climb alot faster than w/ the Gibson POS !!! Just thought I'd share it w/ yall...Zed

You crazy thing, don't you know you risk blowing that engine at such high rpms! And weren't you just complaining about oil pressure problems?
You better be proud of getting 160k+ out of that engine, cuz at this rate, that baby is gonna blow at any time.

But what the hell, just gives you an excuse to drop the H.O. 6.0L in her.

Ron

P.S. I don't wanna see any more complaints about oil problems, just be glad the oil is staying in the engine and not all over the ground.

Endurance test heh heh . Pressure was a steady 70 lbs at that speed and RPM. Besides everyone I talked to said pressure is fine, so I said what the hell. And yes I might be working towards a 6.0, just might get there sooner than I think...Zed

Yeah, 160k was when I finally broke down and took the 4.3L V6 out and changed over to an LT1. The V6 went into an Astro van that is still running strong. GM engines are built to last unlike the 302 frods that toss rods even on almost new engines.

Yeah those V-6's are strong engines. Moms has a '90 Astro and is still on the same block even after she almost burned it up twice hahaha. And the first time she almost smoked it she called my father and told him she thought it was running hot because it was smokin from under the hood but when he got there she was still riding around w/ the A/C running full blast Yep, strong engines...Zed
