What would need to be done to make this different reluctor engine work in a 99-07 GMT800?
pull the crank, replace the reluctor wheel with the early model, reassemble engine.

What about the cam sensor?
You just need to extend the wires or buy an extension. Also have to move the knock sensors to the side of the block.

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
damn i know exactly what needs to be done, the factory cam sensor has enough wire in the stock harness you just need to cut it out and retape, then on the plug itself you need to swap the wires marked "A" and "C". Then for the knock sensors just drill and tap the new thread in the side of the block where the LS2 ones were. The reluctor wheel does have to be changed and it takes a special tool to do it, you need a 24 tooth one put in it, Marc just picked up a 6.2 about a month ago and we are going to drop it in his 2001 truck

Stupid Reluctor Wheels!
Sorry for the rant, someone said a curse word.... GG this questions for you. What's the factory cam specs for an L76 truck motor found in an 07' 2500? You need a vin # or can you just do a base search? Thanks in advance.

Yep Yep my 6.2 is going in this weekend I hope, if the weather permits. The reluctor wheel is very easy to change..... But with that said you have to get it lined up perfect. Not something I would want to do myself. Also dont forget if your going to a 3 bolt cam you need to get a new timing gear set. I bought mine through lingenfelter. They make a conversion kit.
