    20 inch DR

I know that Nitto makes a DR and so does Mickey T. My question is are they any good. I understand it wont be as good as a slick but I am getting the rims for trade with 4 new tires on them. Was thinkin of taking off the back 2 and replacing them with DR. I know the rims are extremely light weight. Anyone use either before?

they can hold some power, there are some classes in drag racing where the cars put out 1000hp or so and have to run drag radials, they hook good but u have to do a good burnout with them usually

Those are the only 2 brands I know of that go up to 20 inch rims. I just wanted to know if they were worth it. Or if i should sell the rims and tires and get the cash for a set of 17s with DRs

The 17's would be lighter and a lot cheaper I would guess. Plus you could run a smaller tire and still have some side wall.

sidewall is good, that's why I'm sticking with my 17's. The sidewall has some give so the tread will stay planted, where as the 20's with a small stiff sidewall somethings gotta give and its the tread so no traction. That's at least how I've always understood it.

I am going to check into the rims I am getting. I know that a bone stock 5.3truck ran a 15.2 with them and the same tires on it. So It didnt hurt his time any. Means they haft to be decently light. Then I will check and see the prices if they are too much Ill just sell them off.

I have the Nitto 275/45 R 20's on my TBSS. They are pricey but they work for what they are... 20" rims are not for drag racing. I won't be buying another set... I'm going to 17's next.

I am probably going to try and sell them off and get a set of 17 and a good DRs. And the sportsman ssr or whatever the new style DR mickey makes comes up to a 20. I checked a mag on them a few weeks ago.
