    p0507

    throwing this code, high idle RPM


    I noticed after swapping the throttle body to a ported and polished unit a couple months back that it idled higher, a little over 1100. But its just now showing the code could it be the combination of me having the tuner increase the idle a small amount and then the p&p TB causing this or should I look into replacing some of the sensors?

    if you have a cable type TB you probably just need to adjust the stop screw.

    I had to play with my screw a ton just to get it right so it wouldnt throw codes or idle funny. Ported TBs can be a P.I.T.A.

    LOL, that's what D**** and F*** guys say.

    1100 is way too high without a total aftermarket program or computer system.

    The only code I had when trying to finish my ported TB was reduced engine power but then again I have dbw. Then when I fixed that it idled to high. You just have to mess with that screw to get it right man ha
