Thread: 5.3 Motor Mods

    I done all the simple stuff whats next!! Currently I have done Headers, K&N Intake, Custom Exhaust, Westers Chip, Throttlebody Spacer....so whats the first thing to do next....i know I need to tear in to the motor!! I have 85000 on the odometer....so what do I do next LS6 Cam diffrent Cam??? Heads??? Rockers????? Springs??? Whats the first simple motor mod that I can do???? Let me know????

    If you want a wolf in sheep's clothing you need a turbo, supercharger or nitrous. You can't have it rocking and humping like dogs in heat if you want someone to think it's just stock. A little whistle or blower whine will only be heard too late.

    Sorry about that I should have put that in my post, Its ok if its making some noise, infact I want it to make noise!!! I want to do as much as I can in the natural asperation area as I can, I want to make it powerfull in the throttle!! Follow the old saying, "All Throttle NO Bottle!!"

    But if you want the best bang for the buck, I would start with a good cam. Not only will it give you a performance gain, people will wonder what the heck is making your truck lope like that.

    STS would be cool, but here in MN I dont think I would work well......Cam what are ya thinking for a cam....I want specs. talk to me bro's!! If the truck makes a lot of noise I dont care, If it sounded like a 1969 nova SS It would be great in my book!!
