    yep thats it
yes it is all steel. I will get it weighed to find out I was just going by some others I know. It is a full interior even with some sound deadner on the floor. It is probably heavier than I think. I will let you know.

The more I think about the gains the more confused or concerned I seem to get.
It looks like most of this improvement is in the 1/8th mile (and before) which I would think the cam change would make more difference up top than the start of the race. Like I said I now have a posi and better tires and I bet I gained more from that than the cam change.
I will scan some and get some logs I use AutoTap for this.
I am probably asking too much as has a huge frontal area and this drip rail across the front so I know that is not helping. I have not had a chance to weigh it yet but I am guessing it wont be any worse than a newer RCSB.

Just rambling like said before the gains look good when looking at the finish numbers. I am going to look at my old slips if I still have some I thought I remembered a better time but probably not...
    thanks

Did you get a retune? What headers/sizes are you running?

I am new to this style since I just bought a '68 stepside last week. I will be going with probably a 6.0L in it. Are you on the 67-72 website?

cool project, you will find there are alot of parts available for them. Yes I am on the 67-72 website under the same user name, stop in and say hi! There are thousands of members almost like a cult These trucks can be made to go fast.
Yes on the retune, I did some logging after the first tune and am working on the second retune after the swap. I am using exhaust manifolds from a Z06 they look like shortys, before the swap I read an article in CarCraft that did some comparison and found (in the article) that they compared favorable on a dyno with LT headers. Now that being said there may be some or quite a bit left on the table with them in the "real world". I have been running them since the initial swap.
Unfortunatly headers are pricy and I am not sure what if any would fit. I installed the motor rearward as much as possible using custom fabbed mounts. I dont know if I have room? These dump into 2.5 inch duels.

    Thanks.

By using the weight caluculator, you picked up 35+ HP @ the wheels. Not a bad gain for the cam I would think.

nope that gain would not be bad, I plan on having it dynoed again to see but help me out with the strip, I figured I would see a better MPH gain my main gain was in the first, I thought with the TB converter I might loose some off the line and gain on the top end...
    just thinking
