well thats a trick question. You would probably see alot better speed from the 4.10s. So if you are trying to get faster go with that. If you are trying to better your truck you could see improved gas mileage with a better exhaust and a better sound from your truck as well as a decent horsepower increase. So which do you prefer at this point in time is what you should ask yourself.

Pacesetters and ORY are great... expect a helluva better sound. And 2-3 tenths off the 1/4. You will see an even better improvement over the strait pipe you have. Just get at least a single chamber muffler for a little back pressure. However, the 4.10's and locker will be a better mod. I wish i would have gotten them first. If you did not get the rear o2's deleted with your tune, you will need a retune so you dont get a check engine light. With ORY the rear o2's will flip out.
So My 2 cents says get the locker and 4.10's first. And then when you decide to get headers, get servo's, and some other stuff, then get a retune.

eBay Motors: GM 8.6 CHEVY 10 BOLT 4.11 RING AND PINION INSTALL PKG (item 330263169396 end time Sep-17-08 05:58:54 PDT) best deal... gears and install kit
eBay Motors: NEW DETROIT TRUETRAC GM 8.5 CHEVY 10 BOLT 30 SPLINE 8.6 (item 230268564733 end time Sep-03-08 17:04:42 PDT) locker... Rons has been good to us.
If you plan on going turbo, or whipple, might want to get 3.90's or 3.73's. But the 4.10's are needed for our smaller cube motors to get out of the hole... I have the 4.11's above, and will be getting the same locker... Ill be running a 150hp shot of nitrous and a cam...

ID have to say gears, when i switched mine out was probably the best mod i ever did, to me i could feel more "seat of the pants power" then after my cam install, i know sounds crazy but 3.23 to 4.10s is an awesome jump

just keep in mind the retune will have to be done no matter which route you go. LT Headers and ORY = Rear O2 Delete, retune. 4.10's and locker = gear change retune. If you are not in a position to install the LS, ring and pinion yourself, press, dial indicator and a lot of patience then you will need to tack on another 300-400 labor+parts. On the other hand the longtubes and ORY you can put on yourself in about 3 hours. Just my thoughts. Either way if you have the bug you will be doing both at some point, just depends on how much you want to spend on this mod go round!
    Enjoy
