    first track times with the lq9

    doesnt seem to bad to me, but i was expecting a little more.
    14.5 @ 95 was my best and did a few 14.6's. whats it going to take to get this truck in the 13's witout killing my drivability? besides funny gas that is...
    2005 crew cab, new crate lq9 with comp 212/218, 558/563 on 115 cam, 80mm t.b. coated long tubes, off road y, flowmaster cat back, dynomax bullet, ngk plugs, msd wires, k&n cold air kit, 4.10 gears, auburn pro lsd, transgo shift kit, nelson drive tune, trailblazer i-6 torque convertor, anzo lamps, ss front bumper, z71 tahoe rear bumper, debadged, kenwood touchscreen with headrest monitors, JL components, coaxials, sub, 5ch amp. bell tech 2/4 drop. 22x10 ss wheels with 285/35/22 bfgs.

    tkae the 20's off and get some slicks. Pull some weight off too lol those CC are heavy

    towing mean alot to you, go slightly bigger cam and a slightly bigger stall


    i run a lq9 also and run 13.5 and spinning a bit at the line...


    wonder how much weight difference the 2 have?

    Damn, your mods look pretty stout...and I would have figured slightly better as well. As stated, CCSB trucks are heavy, so try and trim off as much weight as possible before going to the track next: e.g. rear seats, system, 20's, spare tire, tailgate, etc. Your cam is decent for a 6.0L, but you can go bigger without killing your mpgs. Maybe something along the lines of a TSP 224R. The TB I6 converter is prolly good enough for now, since you are only leaving the line at about 1100-1200 rpms... A set of DRs or slicks will allow you to launch at much higher rpms--which will help getting that pig out of the hole better.

    There are not many other bolt ons you can do..UD pulleys?
