yea i just went out there and saw that........post the next dateYeah I got out there about 4:30 and track was closed said that they decided to cancel due to weather coming. On the way back home my A/C belt broke again and had to swing by Oreilly's for another Gates. Thats the second Gates thats broken on me since I replaced it during the cam swap. Anybody else have that problem or is it just me? Thats 2 belts in less that three months...Zed

Damn, sounds like you have too much tension somewhere. Is your idler defective? One belt I would guess a bad belt. Two belts means you have something wrong somewhere. Maybe your A/C pump is locking up.

Damn I hope not... I don't even want to think about replacing that. Belt shows no wear it just snaps in half at almost the same spot...Zed

Not to be a smart-aleck but how can you tell it broke at the same spot other than that it broke on your engine? The thing is on the move any time the engine is running. If it broke where the belt in bonded together it may be defective or too much tensionser force. If it has wear on the belt where it broke your a/c pump is going out or one of the idlers locked up. Idlers are a lot cheaper and I would check them out closely.
