Yeah thats with the 125 shot. I think the 3.42's are keeping me from a better time but I don't spin hardly at all hitting it out of the hole.

The lack of a stall converter is killing you out of the hole. That and possibly traction once you have a converter.

Yeah, I debated on switching the gears for a long time. Finally I decided to leave the 3.42's and see how they do once I get a stall. I had a local transmission guy tell me to wait till my transmission blew to get a converter because with 75,000 miles it won't last much longer. The trans has never messed up and the converter is the last thing on my list. Should I go ahead and get it or wait???? HHHMMM a 3000 will get me what .4 or .5 tenths at the most right??

At the most?!?!?! Do you realize how much engine HP you must gain or weight you have to drop to be .4-.5 seconds quicker?

My guess is you will run slower with the 3k stall unless you back it up with some gears and slicks.

Don't forget he has a 220 cam in that thing, it needs the RPM to spin up to its power curve plus he needs to get the RPM to start spraying sooner.
