    It has to be wired with the neutral safety switch to illuminate correctly.

    Also, did you wire up the oil pressure switch correctly from the old vortec? It has fuel shut off along with oil pressure, if it doesn't see enough oil pressure it cuts the fuel off. The LSX oil pressure switch just help satisfy the pcm.
