    truck caught fire

yep my top tranny line popped off and pumped fluid all over my headers causing a fire. I dont think there is too much damage. Thanks God i had a bottle of water in my truck. If you wannna read more about, I told the whole story on perf truck.net in the tranny section. I think after i fix it the bastage is going up for sale.

i wonder if insurance would give you any more money to document it that you do carry one though. Like I have given them copies of all my receipts and they have taken pictures of all the stuff in the truck to show how much I have put in the truck so in case something does happen I do get something back

Water on an oil fire? You're lucky you were able to extinguish it. That's usually the worst thing you can add to an oil fire if I remember correctly.

if you have all the extras covered on the policy they should cover it then cause they charge you a higher premium

An ABC type extinguisher is good for most fires short of burning metals such as magnesium. We should all carry one just in case. I do but its under my seat and if the interiors going up I'm running. I need to mount it by the tailgate I guess.
