This is the most sense this thread has made.

Min wage does two things really well, it induces unemployment and it raises the cost the doing business.

That last one has quite a few dimensions to it, since we ditched the "gold standard" in 1933 the value of the dollar has been subject to health of our economy, the dollar is currently worth .004 USD. That should tell you something.

We export less, we end up with less people doing more work for less because business owners have to economize in order to break even and turn a profit.

Also in systems without min wage more people are employed longer and have higher earning potentials because they start earlier and get more expirence.

As a result of that the cost of doing business is reduced, more supply can be made more quickly, and the cost of living goes down.

Get your ass off the internet, get a job. Quit buying **** for your truck, so you can afford to live on your own. Mamma's tit must be bleeding by now. No wonder you can't get laid.
SC...that is undoubtedly one of the funniest things you have said. EVER. No offense Ricky, but that was HILARIOUS.

Yup. Ricky, you gotta get away man. No hard feelings towards your mom. She's awesome in the sack and provides for a man well--no wonder why you still live there.

I really can't say much--I was in college until I was 24 years old and was lucky enough to have parents to pay for my college edumakasion. I also had all of my bills paid by them--except for gas. And even at that, my mom always would slide me a couple $100s every now and then. But I still had to work part time to pay for all of my social events. Since I was 13 years old, I started and ran a thriving lawn mowing, landcaping, and irrigation business. I am not a genius business owner by any means, but I was doing well as an 18 year old high school kid who had 3 trucks, 12 employees, 68 residentials/14 commercials, and year-roud contracts with 12 of the 14 commericals. If it wasn't for my need for a truck when I turned 16, I might be a car guy. I used my truck for what one was designed for--working. By doing this, I earned good income and saved a bunch--with good advice for the parentals. Regretfully, I ended up selling the business once I got my scholarship to play soccer at MSU. I retained about 12 residential customers I had from Day 1 so I had something to fall back on if I ever needed to. And after I gradumatated for college, I gave up on it for good to persue what I went to college for. But I think the best part of all of it was for me to get out of the house--and it would have been hella tough for me to do so if the parents weren't paying for my stuff. We all have hard times Ricky--it just how you decide to deal with them. As a 21 year old girl like yourself, you need to move out and get a place on your own. It will teach you a bunch of things--including responsibility for taking care of yourself. and it was also be a good place for you to bring a chick home--IF that ever happens.

Well said man. I believe every word you just said, but when it comes down to it, the only thing we have any chance in Hell of controlling is who WE elect to represent us. Even though every candidate does not have EVERY quality we like, we have to settle and pick one that we like the most. From there, the only thing we can do is pray that there are enough people that believe in the same things we do sp that they may be elected into office.

And just bitching about a problem doesn't get you anywhere. The only thing that is guaranteed in life is death and taxes.
