    Tell me about it. I am an estimator for a general contractor, make 50k a year, my gf works for disney as a promotions director making 50k, and by no means do we live the great life. Maybe its CA, maybe its just the way it goes, but you would think two people could live pretty well on 100k a year. Work hard, get an education, save your money, and reward yourself occasionally. Thats the only advice I can give people.

    Allot of people in Cali are selling their houses there and buying twice the house for 1/2 the money over here in Texas. A $250,000 house in cali cost about 90-100k here.

    And you know the most pathetic part? There is no house even close to me that is $250,000. The average house in my area is about $550,000-600,000.
