    While you're at it why don't you get some galvanized pipe and take a torch and burn the galvanizing off of it. Don't forget to call first.

    You'll be much better off going to the "intake" link I posted above and buy the aluminum tubing and couplers.

    BTW, listen to Greg!! The greatest risk comes from vinyl chloride, a primary component of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and an odorless gas which could be released with very high heat. Vinyl Chloride is a toxic carcinogen, which can cause a deadly primary liver cancer.

    Isnt that stuff a little on the flammable side also? I think the Formosa explosions up north was caused by that stuff a few years back. Granted it wouldnt be in a near the concentrations as what they were dealing with making PVC, but just a thought.
