you are correct on the belltech and the turning radius.

Good buy on the McGaughy's...if you had the BT's I was going to tell ya about their "issues"....lolOriginally posted by leochevy2001@Aug 5 2004, 05:40 AM
Thanks for the list and time estimates guys!![]()
Physh1, i bought the McGaughy's because I heard that the Belltech spindles reduce the turning radius.

Yeah, I had been hearing about the problems with Belltech spindles for awhile and that made me not want them. I did want the Hotchkis drop but I found the Mcguaghy's drop cheaper than the Hotchkis.

I did the same thing
I bought McG spindles but since I am running stock 16" wheels
I had to do a lower ball joint relo
which is inc in the kit.
After trying to drill out 4 rivets on 1 lower control arm
I ask F that and ordered the Hotchkis kit
Springs and leafs
I returned my spindles.
If you are running 17" wheels or larger - you will not have to relo the lower
ball joint
but boy those lower rivets are a PITA
But the ride is still OK just a little stiffer.

If you decide to drop the truck yourself, the rear hangers are a pain to get the rivets out. I had a RC Chevrolet that I dropped myself. I went to a muffler shop and for $25, they knocked out the rivets for me. Everytime they knocked out a rivet, I placed a new bolt that came with the hangers into each hole, so all I had to do was unbolt the old hangers and bolt up the new ones. Much easier than grinding those out yourself. Something to think about since grinding the rivets is probably the most time consuming portion of dropping the rear.
I am running 17" Escalade wheels, so I was able to get the deluxe kit.Originally posted by csherma1@Aug 5 2004, 03:53 PM

That is a good idea. If I go with that idea, I might have to do it this Saturday because a couple of guys said that they would help me with my install.Originally posted by 03TAHOE@Aug 5 2004, 04:30 PM

with the Eskly wheel - you might have to trim the lower ball joint stud
just a heads up.
