Lance, You are running the caddy gauge cluster correct? I still can't get my gas gauge to work, also some of the lights to tell what gear i am in doesn't work. BOOH... I checked for that purple wire, but to tell you the truth i have no idea what im looking for.

If you left the wiring to the neutral safety switch like it was originally with the Vortec harness I guarantee the PRND will workon the cluster. I'll see what I can do for you.

That sounds like the switch needs to be pulled off of the tranny and readjusted. Turn the switch where the linkage goes through all of the way to the right or left and watch the positioning on the cluster and then reinstall it. If the switch was pulled off with it in the "N" position it can cause this problem. The switch needs to be in P and the linkage needs to be all of the way in Park. I had this same problem on another swap I did.

i pulled it off, turned the thing all the way to the right, all the lights were the same, put it back on, and the lights are still not coming on in N D 1. turned it all the way to the left, same thing...

i was able to make it say 2nd gear, when it was in park but when i shifted it, it went back to what it is doing, ill make a video of it later
