    Engine Vibration

When I am ideling in PARK, every 3-5 seconds it feels like the RPM's are dropping just a very small bit. I can't see the RPM guage dropping, but it I will notice a small vibration lasting only about a second and then goes away. When I am in DRIVE or REVERSE, it doens't do it. I didn't know if this is something normal that I am just now noticing or if there could be something else going on. Any ideas? The truck runs strong with no hesitation or anything. It's a 2004 4.8 liter. Thanks

i have the same thing on my 99 with 126k on the clock. ive just have given up and just let it go. i think mine is a bad plug or a bad injector....both which will be brand new in a few weeks.

other than that i tried the seafoam thing, i think it might be a plug going bad, or i guess it depends on your milage, i think it could be one of my injectors, but the truck runs just fine and it has never thrown any codes.

Sounds like a burp from a fouling plug or maybe a clogged FPR. Do the easy things first... New plugs (properly gapped), then FPR and fuel filter.

+1. Also if you have TR-6 plugs they tend to idle a little ruff. New plugs, and check the wires and make sure they arent torn at the top of the boot, were the wire meets the boot. Some times they tear when you take them off the plug.

They are the original plugs so i'm sure there is some fouling on them. I was reading up on the new E3's and I also saw them on Horse Power TV and they gave better fuel mileage and a 6 hrsepower gain. Yes? No? Any input on good plugs? What is the FPR? Fuel Pressure Regulator?

yes i think the FPR is fuel pressure regulator....which by if you try those E3 plugs before friday let me know how they work out.

i was just gonna get some bosch or NGK plugs when i do the swap, and im also doing the fuel filter this weekend.

yes, FPR is fuel pressure regulator.

Yeah--try out the E3 plugs. I am interested to hear some personal feedback. I saw the section on Horsepower TV also...

I think they were quoting the E3 press release. I would like to see someone run a tank full of fuel on new $.99 NGK plugs and then switch to the E3s and drive the same exact route in the same manner and compare the fuel mileage. Sure it will be an expensive test but the payout in the long run to everyone here will be 10 fold.

+1. I would try them but I doubt they work well with nitrous.
