Thread: Hookin up the fuel

    was the 97 trans an automatic? If the fittings were different, pull them out of the old trans and put them in the new one. Threaded vs quick connect? They are both 60e transmissions, correct?

    Yea both 60e and I have not looked to see if the old lines will hook into the new tranny but that would be really nice...

    So I fought with those little clips on the fuel rail for an hour and got no where, how do you get them mothers off?

    which little clips? The ones on the hose connections that come from the fuel tank? There is a little tool that goes around the tubing and you push it towards the fuel lines to release a catch inside the fitting. You can get them anywhere auto parts are sold. Just get the 3/8 and 5/16 ones.
