ok did the lq4 conversion and am no ready to put in the 4L80E as i want the overdrive now and better shifting properties. the main problem is that with the turbo350 the selector is so damn sensitive that when racing i go from 1st to 3rd all th damn time and it kills the trucks et's so with the 4L80E does anyone know what floor shifter i can go to? i am tired of the column shifter and want something different. oh yeah this is in a 87 long bed R-10

You can go with a B&M truck megashifter or a Lokar shifter that looks like a stickshift and mounts to the transmission and then through a hole in the floorboard.
